Its Friday night and you've had a hard week...you're ready to relieve your stress with with your friends, some drinks and a night out. It can't hurt because you know how to control yourself. Or maybe the person you have your eye on is going to be at the hottest party tonight and you just can't miss them seeing you looking and feeling right. U hit the mall and get the flyest outfit. You stop by the liquor store to get the pregame drinks...and don't forget making sure you have room on your credit card to make sure you can buy the bar. This sounds all too familiar and for the most part is the way of the world .
However, Jesus calls His children to come out from among believers and separate themselves from uncleanly things!
The drop the bottle series will begin seeking to explore why young adults really feel the need to drink, associate with a certain crowd, and club. We will try to understand what's driving those feelings of depression, loneliness, acceptance, and wanting to find that special someone. Most importantly we will discuss what the Word of God says about this lifestyle and the way it will lead to destruction. Its not God's will for our lives to mirror that of an unclean and unstable lifestyle. What is important for young adults to beleive is that God understands our desires to have a good time, be accepted, and find that special someone according to His will. Risking your life and the lives of others is not in His plan. For the God says, “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Do you trust His plan?
